Λοιπόν η ταινία ήταν καλή και με ωραία ατμόσφαιρα, καθώς και μπόλικη μαγεία...Ο Μπερργκερ έχει μία ωραία ταινία εποχής ,με ένα ιδιαίτερο στύλ στην κάμερα και στο χρώμα για να θυμίσει εκείνη την εποχή. Το σενάριο είναι καλό, αλλά δυστυχώς έχει μόνο ένα τουιστ(με το θάνατο της Μπιελ, το οποίο κατάλαβα εξαρχής)στο τέλος. Οι Νορτον και Τζιαμάτοι είναι εξαιρετικοί. Ο Σιουελ επίσης καλός στο ρόλο του αντιπαθητικού Λεοπόλδου. Η Μπιελ ήταν μέτρια. Το τελικό σύνολο ήταν καλό.7/10
Όμως καθώς η ταινία έχει παρεμφερή θέμα με το "Prestige" και κυκλοφόρησαν την ίδια εποχή, είναι αναπόφευκτη η μεταξύ τους σύγκρουση. Πρώτον έχουμε Τζάκμαν/Μπειλ εναντίον Νόρτον/Τζιάματι. Δύσκολη επιλογή γιατί όλοι είναι καλοί ηθοποιοί. Όμως το ζευγάρι Νόρτον/Τζιάματι επικρατεί επειδή αποδίδει καλύτερα τον μεταξύ τους ανταγωνισμό. Μετά έχουμε Γιόχανσον εναντίον Μπιελ. Επικρατεί η πρώτη με διαφορά επειδή είναι πού πιο πειστική στο ρόλο της. Τέλος έχουμε Νόλαν εναντίον Μπέργκερ. Και εδώ δύσκολη επιλογή, επικρατεί όμως ο Νόλαν επειδή δημιουργεί καλύτερη ατμόσφαιρα(είναι ένα από τα δυνατά σημεία του Νόλαν). Και οι δύο ταινίες είναι καλές. Ομώς νικά στα σημεία το "Prestige" επειδή έχει πιο "πλόυσιο" σενάριο με καλοστημένα ταχυδακτουλουργικά, τα οποία μας εξηγεί πως δουλεύουν, ενώ στο "Illusionist" μας αφήνει με την απορία...Όμως μήπως έτσι πρέπει να είναι η μαγεία.....??
